Title I Parent Orientation 2014
Coconut Creek Elementary is actively seeking Parent Representation for our Title I Program. Letters were sent home with all students asking for your assistance. The Title I Parent Orientation 2014 Kickoff is scheduled for Thursday, October 2, 2014 from 7:00-8:30 PM in the Dillard High School Auditorium. The Guest Speaker will be Dr. Marc Lamont Hill, an American academic, journalist, author, activist, television personality and a Distinguished Professor of African American Studies at Morehouse College in Atlanta, Georgia. We invite you to attend this Orientation. Please contact Dr. Brown, our Assistant Principal, if you are willing to represent Coconut Creek Elementary School at this event.

Currently, the 2014/2015 School Advisory Council members are working diligently on the New Member Recruitment Drive for this school year.
The mission of Coconut Creek Elementary Advisory Council is to assist in the development and monitoring of the School Improvement Plan, the school’s budget, and to advise the administration with decisions in matters that will academically and economically improve our school by acting as a liaison between the community and the school.
SAC Interest Surveys will be sent home with every student next week, or you may print, complete, and return the Survey by clicking on the link below.

Conversations with the District

General Obligation Bond Referendum November 4, 2014 Ballot
Broward County voters will see a General Obligation Bond referendum on the November 4th ballot. The General Obligation Bond would provide Broward County Public Schools with $800 million dollars to invest in critical needs across the District. The District’s SMART initiative focuses on Safety, Music & Art, Athletics, Renovations and Technology (SMART). If approved by voters, the impact of the General Obligation Bond for the average Broward homeowner will be about $50 per year.
