PTA & TITLE I PARENT WORKSHOPS AVAILABLE
The Broward County Council of PTA has been selected by the National PTA as one of six sites for the Urban Family Engagement Network project. The Urban Family Engagement Network project is designed to train parents and community leaders, engage underserved families, and connect families to valuable community resources through a series of 12 workshop sessions. The goal of this grassroots training is to equip parents with the tools to support their children’s academic success, provide opportunities to build leadership skills and empower parents to get engaged in active advocacy efforts to ensure that all children have access to a quality education.
Each 3 hour workshop will consist of two/three curriculum sessions for a total of 12 sessions. We encourage participants to attend all the sessions in order to complete this National PTA training. Workshops will be limited to 25 participants per session.
We invite all PTAs, parents and members of the community to register and attend these workshops.

Brain Gym for Parents!
Brain Gym® is a series of 26 movements that can dramatically improve areas such as concentration and focus, memory, academics and test taking, physical coordination, relationships, self responsibility, organization, and attitude. Brain Gym® is used by people of all ages for a wide variety of self-improvement goals.
This workshop will give parents the background they need to utilize these movements with their children at home.
Students can then implement these movements whenever the need arises. Brain Gym® promotes play and incorporates the job of learning while drawing out and honoring the innate intelligence of each individual. Broward County uses the data collected for planning our digital initiatives. The survey is open to all parents and we encourage you to take a few moments to complete it. There is no password or account needed. Just click on the link below, enter our school zip code (33066), select Coconut Creek Elementary School, and answer a few questions.
